Access Guard®

No. Access Guard® operates as a standalone monitoring product and determines your current status via an initial scan. However, the Ready certificate is required to access Access Protect®. We recommend planning both together.

2. What are the technical requirements?

Access Guard® requires a webhook endpoint in your deployment pipeline. The initial configuration is carried out in collaboration with our technical team — usually within a few hours.

The liability cover provided by Access Protect® ceases with immediate effect. Your stored Health Score history and monitoring data will remain accessible for 30 days, after which they will be deleted.

Access Guard® covers all WCAG 2.2 criteria that can be checked automatically — that is, those that software can reliably detect. Criteria requiring human judgement are covered by the in-depth audit with Access Ready®. The two products work in tandem.

No. Every entry in the dashboard includes a ready-made code snippet for immediate rectification. Your team needs to understand how to implement the fix — not why it is necessary from an accessibility perspective.

Yes. Access Guard® crawls only publicly accessible content from your digital platforms. Personal data is neither collected nor processed.

Yes. You can trigger scans manually via the dashboard or set up a scheduled scan schedule. However, the system really comes into its own with the webhook integration.

BFSG and WCAG 2.2 – the legal framework for websites that remain accessible in the long term
